The annual Jersey Film Festival will be back in action in the grounds of Howard Davis Park between the dates of Saturday 4th - Thursday 9th August this year.
This Island tradition continues once more with an eventful film packed 6 days. Whether it’s action, comedy, musicals or just a complete classic you want to watch… our movie selection should have you smiling, laughing or even crying!
The main aim of this movie-filled week is not just sharing a love of film, but also raising money for charity. Once again the event is free for anyone who wishes to attend, all we ask is that those who come and enjoy the festival put a few pounds in the charity collection buckets as they leave. Each year we are amazed by Islanders’ generosity, as the amount raised continues to increase. This event highlights what Jersey is about, bringing Islanders together to help others.
This year we have asked each of our corporate sponsors – The Idea Works, Dandara and Rathbones - to choose a charity and on the night of their chosen film the proceeds from the collection buckets will go to that charity. Their chosen charities this year are, Brighter Futures, Autism Jersey, Jersey Hospice Care and Look Good Feel Better (private sponsor), respectively.
“There is surely no better way to spend a summer evening, with friends and family watching a film in this gorgeous park. And knowing that we’re helping local charities at the same time only makes it better.” - Kevin Lewis.
